K-Pro Wiring

Since having the K-Pro fitted I've developed a fault light on the MIL which comes up as DTC P0452: Fuel Tank Pressure Sensor Low Voltage. At first I thought this might be to do with my fuel sender problems but once having fixed that the problem still remain. I can clear it on the ECU with my laptop (and by an ECU reset) but it keeps coming back....

SO...

I traced the wires on the ECU and have found that I dont have any wiring for that sensor going to the ECU :? So My question is - does the DC5 JDM have this FTP sensor fitted? I used the RSX manual for the pinouts cos the RSX has it but I dont think ours does. My old ECU never came up with the fault.

So for information I've collated the RSX manual pinouts with the ones posted by Gonzo a while ago and these are here below. As you can see I dont have a connection on E5 and E14 which are the FTP sensor conns.

Can someone when they are down there have a look at their ECU connector and on con E see if they have wires to E5 and E14.

Thanks...

PS...

This FTP is part of the EVAP system that I think may be only fitted to RSX's (cos i dont have any other EVAP control wires there either) ??? Could this be the case?

Sounds like someone has used an RSX map on your car Chris....

That would explain the issue in my book...

Might be - dont know - but have some input from Guy about it but cant try till to disable the FTP till Monday as my laptop power supply is at work and the laptop battery is dead.

If anyone knows if the JDM has the EVAP system with the FTP then if they could please advise, and check their wiring.

E Connector is is the right hand one on its own i.e. A-B-blank-blank-E

Hi
you are correct with you're thoughts, no wires here either.
If you are comming tomorrow do you want me to bring my notebook?
i've looked at the program and don't see where to disable it

I've had the odd MIL from various versions of KManager in the past. I guess it's the result of most of the KPro development being done on the RSX based ECU's. I've not had anything serious that affects the car though. Hope you resolve this anyway. I'm sure if you get this fed back to Hondata through Guy or directly with Hondata it will get resolved.

Si

Wont be coming tomorrow - got other things to do...

Waiting for an original copy of my map from guy just incase i corrupt it reading it off. Then he says to disable ODBII which should cure it.

Thanks for the offer anyway.

ODBII is disabled on mine .
Its really easy to up/download the maps
So I've heard - but 1st time i tried it i got a load of access violation errors and the hondata software crashed - so dont want to try it again till i got a clean backup copy.

Sounds like the right thing then - what time you all meeting up - might nip down just to Gordano and see if you can read it off. Got to meet me son later so dont think I can stay too long.

Looking through the Hondata website and the base maps that come with the Hondata disc I cant see any Teg maps that aren't based on the RSX? So I would guess that all K-pro DC5 maps are based on the RSX and then tuned to suit the mods one has. And as most tunes are for fitting headers etc where the cat is removed the ODBII setting would have been disabled for the secondary O2 sensor. And Hondata lump these with the FTP so it would get wrapped up with that.

Guess this is because Hondata is primarily a US site/company possibly?

Hopefully this will sort it.

Simon - soz - cant nip round early but will try and get to Gordano for 12:30 if you dont mind. See if we can read off the current map. Guy is emailing me it anyway on Monday in case. Cant go on from there as have to see my son later.

The rsx maps are the ones to use and tune to your setup or create one from scratch.

From what I've read its best not to read your maps from the ECU but to edit the one that was originally on your laptop, which your tuner should have given you.
