Wipers hitting windscreen trim

My wipers have a lot of play in them and will even contact my windscreen surround and my teg M scoop!

Anyone know any good fixes? Seems like the linkage ends are worn but I've not taken them off yet.

Wondering if I will just need to buy a whole wiper mech just to replace these worn parts.

There‘s a little spherical bearing that‘s worn, Croccy on here 3D printed his own replacements. :). Pm him,...not seen him on here for a while, but he will be able to help. at least with dimensions or where it is exactly :)

Cheers Jimmer, I've sent a PM to Croccy.

Ive had a look under the skuttle and one of the linkage ends is definitely buggered. The others seem okay.

Keep us updated if you don't mind. Mine intermittently do this as well.

Will do.

I've just unbolted my whole wiper mechanism and 3 of the 4 ball joints were perfect and one had lots of play but I pushed the plastic dome piece back in the hole on the end of the arm(only slots in one way) and replaced the washer and now there is no play. Seems like a quick no cost repair but time will tell if it pops out again.

Worth checking your own and you might get away with it too.

Sorry to bring an old post up, but what size washer did you end up using mate?

Never needed a new washer I just replaced the old one back into position because it had all just come apart. Still seems to be working perfectly and there has been a lot of rain to test it out!
