Yeah I did think it might be hairy
How much do the Rota Grids weigh (or do Rota do a lighter 16" wheel?)
With the 16" wheels what specs are they and the tyres you run?
The main reason I want smaller wheels is weight saving and most of all cheaper tyres for track
lol @ the...
Nice - how did you manage to get a set?
Also out of interest do you have any pics of the car with them on - bet it looks terrible! Not that I want them for looks mind - they would be for track use. Also what size are they as in the width etc?
They are alot cheaper than the KPro. I think on my old DC2 I paid around £550 for the chip and mapping!
The car perfomed really well but having the option of Kpro on the DC5 I would go for that like fonz600 said.
This is the same as mine. It hardly uses any oil - even on track :D
I use Silkolene pro 5/40 in mine (great quality stuff) if that helps...
I also used silkolene in my old DC2 and it hardely burnt any oil
Thanks for replying Mike :D
Dam - 15s would seriously save some money on tyres!
Another question for you: my suspension / geometry settings have been setup with 17" wheels/ alloys fitted. Are there any adverse effects from swapping from 17" for road and then a different sized rim for track...
Hi guys,
I just wanted to know what smaller alloys (make and specs) people have managed to get away with fitting on the DC5s. I'm looking for some light smaller alloys that will clear the calipers. Ideally I'm looking for 15s but if none fit what 16s fit?
Cheers,
Steve
Haha no - I have a Toda Manifold. I reckon if the map was tweeked a little bit more I would get 278-279. Paul seemed to agree but I didnt want to push the car any more TBH and Paul said at it's current state it's really stable.
I was going to start playing about with different exhaust setups...
Yep I know my clock directions
Don’t take anti clock wise as hard / clockwise as soft as gospel though I just read what Dixon typed on here a while back when someone asked! I think another guy said similar....
I'm also sure Tom would have set them to soft too and he said he...
