We had the same problem with ours, lights would come on then go off after a while, turning them off then on would usually get them to work again but not for long.
Check that the bulb has been fitted correctly - needs to be twisted and clipped into place (so i'm told). Ours weren't and eventually the current arced between the bulb and the holder so much that the base of the bulbs melted away :shock:
