Re: 02 sensor problem

unless you get a 2nd hand one, tbh imo your best off buying a new genuine part from dave,
whats to say the 2nd hand part wont go wrong in the next few months, least with a new genuine part you know it should last!!

ps i had same problem, and bought a new genuine part from dave!

Re: 02 sensor problem

Have they gone up recently? Were around £145 last time I needed one?

Mate, the O2 sensors play a pretty important role in the way your car runs

If it's pooped, you need a new one. There is no way around it.

Re: 02 sensor problem

Not really.
A simulator is exactly that.
It just simulates that there is a sensor there, your ECU will not get any readings to adjust fuel ETC

Re: 02 sensor problem

O2 sims are used when a car has a proper mapped ECU

You cant get around this!

Re: 02 sensor problem

A properly mapped k-pro ecu doesn't need an o2 sim

Re: 02 sensor problem

i paid about 170 in january for mine from dave.

as someone said there's not really a cheap fix its either take a gamble and buy a 2nd hand one for about 90- 100 quid (if you can find one) or pay 170 for a brand spanker which you know will be right!

got a brand new sensor fitted today and the management light went off for about 5mins then came back on and still comes up with the primary sensor.
Was it a HONDA one?

Re: 02 sensor problem

I had a bad primary O2 sensor (wideband)

Took it off and confirmed it is fitted with a Denso unit OEM..... perfect

Bought it here http://www.densoaftermarket.com/

Get Part number 234-9005 for the front O2 wideband sensor, 234-4360 for the rear o2 sensor.

hope this helps
