A little bit of rust...

Bad news... On removing my rear bumper I noticed that the rear arches are in excellent condition and have been resprayed approx 3 years ago.

However when removing the inner 8mm nut on either on on the inner arch fold in the corner where it meets the rear bumper it has started to bubble ever so slightly and the paint is flaking off a little bit few mm

What can I do to prevent this further? Any experience and fixed? I have a Champ White Touch up pen to touch it up.

Suggestions please thank you.

Also how do I remove a little rust streak on the paintwork without sanding it down etc? Any life hacks?

thanks again

Yeah let us see some photos to advise.

I would recommend against someone like chips away if its rust - it'll just come back, they are a quick fix.

For the inner arch, pick/sand off any loose and flaking paint, try and sand back the worst of the rust, treat with some kurust or jenolite, then epoxy prime & paint

Sorted I thought it was worse than it was. T cut removed the rust stain. A little pin hole got the pain and blobbed it in.

sorted looks bang on to be fair
