This is the test of integra type R (DC-5)

This is Evo article on racing type R (DC-5).

Overal they liked it, but said it has lost a little of the DC2 sparkle and drivability. THey were also saying they couldn't get it to oversteer, yet I have seen a few vids of people get it sideways all over the place!

If had the cash I would have it, one of the best loooking cars on the road, and the interior is lush as well. And for some reason that little start button really does it for me ha ha - sad I know!

I'd take those articles with a pinch of salt, I never read too much into what any of the UK motoring mags have to say. You yourself said that you've seen the DC5 losing its rear end, that speaks for itself. It could be the journo's were too scared to try it or they can't drive

yeah but I think evo is probably the best drivers car / enthusiast mag in this country though! I normally take what they say as being fairly accurate. For example this is what they say in the back about dc-5 and dc-2.

DC2 + One of the best drivers cars we know! - Too raw for some. 5 stars.

DC5 + Sharp looks, massive grip - lost some of the old cars magic. 4 stars.

Think it's quite amazing all the groaning on that most people say about frontwheel drive cars being shit, and thinking you have to spend £80k on a european rwd supercar, when Evo reckon DC2 is one of the best drivers cars they know, and you can pick up a goodun for £10k! :D

Don't get me wrong either, I think Dc5 is amazing, I would have one if I could afford it, will probably get one in a couple years but will start off with the old classic! :)

Like I say I don't read too much into what any of them say even Evo but thats my opinion of course but I do respect yours :)

So you're gonna get a DC2 huh? Good choice 8)

yeah I am seriously considering it, if I don't it will be to do with getting a crap job, but if the money is there I would get it, I am massive fan of v-tech, and there aren't that many sports cars as reliable as type r.

And maybe in a couple years time, will get the dc5..

To be honest the DC2/DC5 is close to a RWD, but its not the same, had my first RWD for 6 months now and I won't go back.

To be honest you can get most FWD cars to oversteer, but takes practice, it really needs to be damp thou/wet, fast in, lift off, or brake hard, turn in sharpley.

Iain (Litchfield) has imported quite a few and can drive, he loved it, as do I but nothing gives you a better smile factor than RWD.

Yeah defo, I seen Lichfield taking an Imprezza Spec 'C' Limited around silverstone at tracks, I know he can drive. I got some footage of him on my pc.

I never driven a really powerful rwd car, but I understand the concept from carting which I love. Especially if it's very slightly wet and you can just get lush oversteer around all the corners! :D
