MY PROBLEM IS FIXED!!!!!!!! iv got a car that works properly again!

In the end the problem turned out to be two of my tappets were way out and it now has correct clearances and new spark plugs. all is well.

Glad you got it sorted.... out of interest how many miles has your DC5 done / what was your last service mileage at?

its done 25000, last serviced it 700 miles ago. now everything is sorted its induction kit time on friday. im putting a pipercross viper on there, as iv used them before and got excellent results!

AND YES, I AM NOW STOPPING MY BITCHING!!!!! AT LAST!!!!

In the hope of avoiding further mishaps, beware open air intakes - the v-tec engine don't like 'em and you'll more than likely LOSE power. Check the relevant threads but if you want induction go for a closed airbox system (GruppeM, Mugen, etc) or a cold air intake (Injen, etc). The engine bay is too hot to use a cone effectively for the Honda. Just didn't want to see you all upset again :wink:

the viper is closed with a cold air ram pipe, its a carbon fibre effort so it should be okay!! used it before and it did me a world of good.
