At what rev does the Vtec kick in?

At what rev does the vtec kick in? im sure i could feel the pull at 5,000 b4, but at the moment is is just after 6,000. is my head going or does somthing need doing? :?

I think it is actually around 5800rpm that it kicks in.

I think you'll find it is around 6000 +/- 200 rpms so if it is at that then u should be fine.
I notice a prominent pull around 3500-4000 as well but not as a kick in the arse as the later one.
