BP-oil

Just got my car on Saturday with 22.000 miles on the clock from Dicksons.
Confirmed they use BP 10-40 semi-synthetic oil.
Is this a good oil or should i be using something else :!: :!:

Mine's from Dicksons too - can't find any of the BP semi syn for topping up anywhere. Luckily hasn't used any really. Will be changing to Castrol RS 0W/40W fully synthetic though - Halfords had a half price deal on so I got enough for 2 years!

I would recommend at least 5W/40W especially with you being up north.

Try Opi-oils. He should be able to get what you're after.

mine had semi in it too, and hardly used a drop, i had it changed to 5-40 fully synth, (comma branded) which i plane to change every 3k, prob just use mobil 1 after that

without sounding like a numpty and completely engine illiterate, where/how does one change the oil?

used to do all my own, but for the sake of a couple extra quid, just pay someone to do it.
