I use a local broker, very very competitive pricing, and after 2 (non fault) write offs this year I cannot recommend them enough. Whole process was impeccable and without question the easiest insurance claim of any kind I've ever made.

01373 822369, speak to Barry if you can. All mods covered too.

Sorry Tim but if this is how potential customers are treat when your company are trying to win new business then god knows what sort of problems and stress a customer may face in the unfortunate event of an accident when trying to make a claim, on that note I won't be wasting any more of my time!

Had an interesting conversation with Nigel from Greenlight who was extremely helpful and quoted me a fair price (£439) that covers business use, all mods declared and potential future mods quoted in for info (most apart from power increases carried no additional cost).

Yes they were more expensive than Flux however the service seems to be exceptional and it's nice to speak to someone who understands the car you're insuring and the associated Mods...

Whilst we're on with Flux I rang them to check what my refund would be, for a policy that cost me £301 with Flex drive at the end of Feb they were initially only going to refund me £118, after complaining they offered me £143 back blaming the rest of the loss on the brokers deductions, I think the initial offer was shocking considering I'm only moving away from them due to them not being able to accommodate my needs....

Not really sure who else I can ring so will more than likely settle with Greenlight....
As I said on my previous post, try Jeremy at Keith Michaels. He specialises in insurance for the DC5, so might be worth a try...

I've just taken a policy out with Greenlight, the guys I've spoken to demonstrate a good understanding of what they're insuring and also mods, literally a breath of fresh air speaking to Neil and his colleagues.

Business cover isn't an issue, future mods are added free of charge so long as they don't increase the cars power output and those that do are priced fairly.

Also UK track day cover can be added on an event basis with a small charge.

So with mods, 16yrs ncb and business cover included the policy came in at £436, with windscreen cover, protected ncb and courtesy car.

A bit more than Adrian Flux however I'm a believer in you get what you pay for.....

Now to negotiate my refund from Flux, as they seem to be deducting over 2/3 of my premium when the policy duration was only 1/3 spent all because they can't meet the customers needs....

Also after many hours on the phone the recommended company's above either couldn't compete with Greenlight or failed to make the effort to call back with a price....
