i am very interested in the integra and am possbily looking to get one in the next couple of months... and i wondered ;

Do they all have push button start ? or is this an extra some people have had fitted ?

For the SVA approval, is the speedo left as it is but the KMPH reading now just adjusted to MPH ?

Is the trip counter etc still in KM ? or is that switched across to Miles and the MPG reading etc ?

Stuff like windscreens etc... is this a problem to get hold of i.e are Autoglass gonna scratch their heads and look confused if you tell them what you need ?

What are the servicing intervals ? and assuming you got to a honda dealer, what are the costs like ?

erm... think that's all for now

See if i can answer a few of those...

The push button start is an option when you purchase the car new.. but it can be retor fitted i believe...

For SVA the speedo is converted to MPH

From that point on it will read in MPH as will the trip.. you should be issued with a certificate from the dealer you buy the car from saying that at this trip reading the car was converted to MPH and to get the correct Miles convert this many from the trip figure

Windscreens.. should probably have autoglass scratching their heads BUT most of the spares I believe are held in belgium and can be got on over night delivery.. dealers have access to the parts list in each showroom...

Not had mine delare serviced yet but will soon its only done 5000 miles.. going to get it done and then work on 9000 mile intervals going forward unless anybody can tell me different.. i believe thats what the CTR is....

Thanks Jason..

One other question (i will probably think of more at some point!!)

Insurance... what group is this Integra ?

two insurance companies I have rung so far (direct line and tesco) haven't even got the car on their system !!

Is it group 20 by any chance ? does it need a tracker and does it have a cat1 alarm as standard ?

ok so that was more than one question

cheers

Will,

Probably is group 20... mine is modded so cost is loaded anyway

Tesco's do insure them but you need to get thr right person on the right day !!!

Try Adrian Flux (green team) or ring A-Plan special schemes in Newbury as they definately know what they are !!!

Push button start is very easy to instal and is available from your Honda dealer for approx. £50 for the button and the wiring. I have a wiring diagram if anyone is interested in fitting one.

The CTR servicing is 12,000 mile intervals from Honda but I'm sure most will want to have it looked at in addition to this (oil change, tyres etc.)

Hope this helps.

As a security feature you obviously still need to use the key. Turn it so that the ignition is on and then push the button to start the engine.
