DC5 no-where to be seen!

Hey all

I'm sure this subject has been battered from pillar to post. But... is it just me or are all the insurers databases not been updated.

not one website i've been on has the Integra DC5 anywhere.

rang a few places and they just seem oblivious. e.g.
"Integra Type-R, yes we have that in the system, oooo, DC5 errr whats that?"

So bloody frustrating.

I've just turned 22 in June, I've had a Toyota MR2 2.0l coming 4 years now, been driving 5 years. no claims or convictions. the girlfriend has a CTR and i dream about the ITR everytime i drive her's. Same engine + 20bhp, LSD yada yada.

Its getting to the stage now where i have to own one, lol.

So, 22years old, 4years NCB, driving 5years, Uk-spec MR2 IG-13 (so its not like i've had a slow car - sure some of you will mock, lol)

If the DC2 quotes are anything to go by its about £1600 - £1800. That a reasonable assumption??? Are there any insurers out there that specialise or know about this brilliant car???

Other 22 yr olds have been able to get insurance on the DC5 but think some don't touch you till you're 25+ mate.

As the DC5 is grey import and group 20 insurance, it's gonna be more to insure than the DC2...

Try A-plan first as most people had good quotes from them!

Me and AndyD are both 22 or andy might be 21 not sure anyway be both pay or paid in my case about 2k and thats with 1 or 2 yrs NCB so you should be able to better that.

Yup

A Plan for me was £2300.00
Sky Insurance was £2063.00

I'm 23 soon so it should be going down a bit :lol: :lol:

A-plan insured my GF on a CTR for 700 and me on a ITR for 1300 when we were 23 full NC etc...
