Dog gaurd

After going out in the car there I've realised a dog gaurd won't work. My best option would be an xbrace with a gaurd of some sort cable tied to it or wedged between the seat and brace. Or put the dog in a cage

Not sure on the guard thing. But won't the strength of the boot floor be an issue as well?

Dono if you got around this issue but i use a large blanket that covers the full seat and holes for the dogs seat belt in it, i have the auld boy who is a Pomeranian and our pup which is a Cockapoo, the pom casts like no ones buisness and the blanket seems to attract his hair so im lucky that way.
