Good beginner SLR Camera?

Hi guys!

Had a search there but couldnt find anything on cameras! Now i know theres a few people on here who are into their cameras and was just wondering what would you recommend?

Mainly for pics of cars but looking to do a photography course in the future and would want one good enough to use with this.

Budget im not sure i know they wony be cheap but id say up to £400-500 for the lot!

I have Nikon d5000 find it good.
So much to learn about and I am also going for course to learn how to use it properly

go for a nikon or canon (although porthos will tell you a sony) for best compatability with flashes etc.
personally i use Nikon gear (D2x's flashes and nikon lenses)

You should be looking at 12mp+ with LiveView these days.... which most have anyway.

I love my Sony A55, but they are not cheap and as stated, don't have as many compatible accessories as the competition.

What you need to do is get into a store and have a go with some, see which you prefer. If you come to Japfest I don't mind you firing off some frames on my Sony, sure others will have Canon and Nikon's with them you can play with.

I got Canon 550D Lens kit 18-55mm + Wide angle+photo lens(adapters on main lens)+8gb memory+some small lens adapters for 500 delivered.

Very happy with it. Im new to Photography so still learning
