It all started because of that Type-R emblem...
I fell in love by the Civic Type-R and when i saw the DC5 R i knew how true passion felt like... Anyway i was wondering if anyone can help me
I want to know how can i get a DC5 R because it isn't avaiable here (Portugal) and i was really looking forward to getting one...
Is it possible to get an import with left hand drive?

Where can i get a good wallpaper of this car ( a good close-up)?

Thanks.

I doubt you can get a left-hand drive DC5 Integra Type R (not straight from factory) unless you can find one from Taiwan (where they've probably done a right to left conversion). There is always the under-powered US RSX Type S (which is left hand drive) but that isn't a Type R....

Hi,

First of all welcome

DC5-R does not come in left hand drive, only right hand, as thats the only side to drive  , hence us Japs and Brits have something correct

Not sure if you can import into Spain/Port a RHD drive, and who would do the conversion work for you? By this I think you would what the speedo left in KM's, correct. Its not the same as European cars, you don't get dual figures on the dial..

If you brought in the UK then shipped back Spain/Port would that then be ok. As to price it depends on the spec level, auction grade, age of car, milegae etc Current value seems to be from £15K to £19K, a lot depends on the importer as well...

Anyway I wish you luck in your quest...

Mike

PS for wallpaper try Honda Japan, they have a few..

Nevermind the LHD!

I checked about the RHD issue u can import RHD vehicles into Portugal but you have to take "special" classes to prove u can drive a RHD in a LHD vehicles country.... :D
What do you mean with "dual figures on the dial.. " ?
Where can i check the DC5 Type-R spec level options?

Thanks for the tips on the wallpapers...

Does anyone know where can i get a webpage translator (one that works!)? I want to understand what says in the webpages in jap i found!

Hi,

The dial issue I'm refering, to is it will only have the figures for one, ie at conversion time the figures will either be left as KM or changed to read MPH. On a Euro car you have both, prob not an issue really.

As to spec level again, have a look at the Honda Japan web site, they will list the opinions. In jap auctions the data sheet tells you whats on the car. A good guide is a car which has a C-Package on, will be of a very high spec.

For the above you will need a translation, I use altavista and go to the translation section, usually work pritty well.

Also do you have importers in the Portugal that import Jap cars? if you dont you will have to prob have to use one in the UK or get a Jap based one to do it for you. Its also worth looking into the conversion reqirements for where you live... as it may be less strick and not as tight in the UK.

The other thing i have just thought of, sorry to be borring, put how would you get around the headlight conversion, as you drive on the left?

OH!

But the ones that are imported from Japan have the speed in km/h, right?

I don't know any Japanese car importer here in Portugal... I'll probably have to import one thru a UK one...

The altavista translator doesn't translate all, could you help i can't find that C-Package thing u're talking about...

I have to check the conversions issues
And that headlight thing i'll have to check it too...

Thanks for the help MJ Type-R, i should be the to say sorry for bothering...

Hi, once again...

My advice is to talk to a importer here in the uk, not sure if you will need to do a SVA test, as the cars going to be used outside, check what requirments are need for Portugal m8. Also I think you may well have to buy here anyway, as i'm sure the ships from Japan don't stop in Portugal or Spain.

As t ospec, I now there is a web site that is useful for this, but can I find it now

Anyway here's a basics, hope i'm correct

A car in Japan will be a very basic spec, options out in Japan are:

- HID headlights
- Rear Privacy glass (basically tinted on the rear)
- Rear parcel shelf
- Push Starter button (I think this is a part of a C-Pack, but not sure on this, as its i've only seen it on these cars)
- Rear Wiper (only with C Package option)
- Electric fold in wing mirrors (only with C Package option)
- Automatic Air-Con (you can set the temp you want, so climate control, other cars just have air-con)

Thats all I can think of of the top of my head, basically a C-Package car will have all of the above, some options are only on C-Pack cars ie rear wiper. This is often a clear give away when looking a pics..

Hope this helps

Mike

Try World Lingo -
http://www.worldlingo.com/products_serv ... lator.html

I doubt you'll fully understand what is written on the Japanese websites unless you pay someone to translate it properly for you as translation pages only do direct translating, meaning that a lot of text may/will not make sense. It should do enough for you to get the general idea though.

I CAN! I CAN!

I found an importer:
http://www.evolutionimports.com/
Imports Japanese cars into the US It sells DC5 Type_R's for about 11400 British pounds making the total cost with legalization 17400 British pounds! instead of the usual 24000 thru a UK importer!!!!

:D :D :D :D :D :D :D

I'm so HAPPY![/url]
