Thanks for this thread!

I just put my oem ecu on so i could connect the diagnostic to the car. I found i'm getting the code p1166, i was getting p1167 too but when that was deleted it didn't come back.

p1166 is: Air Fuel Ratio (A/F) Sensor (Sensor 1) Heater Circuit Malfunction


Is this the o2 sensor?

Yes.
Sensor 1 is your primary sensor (between the engine and the CAT).
Sensor 2 is the one after the CAT.



From finding out for sure that the DC5 has a wideband as standard this leads me to think the main failure is down to the O2 Sensor not heating up correctly before the engine is being started.
Then again, I could be wrong :lol:

Does anyone know how to do this on EP3?The guide doesn't work.

Change mani and have a cell. I use defouler so it's very strange.

ive done the flash code but my CEL light does NOT flash but my ABS light flashes in sequence and i got the number code 12 and 16

The link says this plug is near your right knee, I only see one near the left knee/shin?? Is this the one im after? Thanks for any feedback.

Yes as that guide was written by an American. It is by the left knee as you sit in a right hand drive DC5 rather than a left hand drive RSX.

please note primary oxygen sensor is wide band on DC5, 4 wired type, pls do not buy non Genuien sensor,
