Hi ,

Is there anyone from Ireland who has been able to insure a dc5 , I have gotten 2 quotes so far but when following up on 1 today they said that it was based on a Integra i which was showing up on their systems as 1995 cc, has this ever happened to anyone? I know there is no such thing so I'd say it's their systems that's bringing the wrong result

I've had one other quote where it's coming up as a type r and is a bit more expensive, can anyone tell me who is insuring them these days as I want to shop around

Thank in advance

Hi we can insure BT postcodes (N.i) and are quite competitive on DC5's providing you are aged 23 or over.

We can cater for all types of modifications and even allow track day cover if needed. When quoting via the comparison sites it's almost impossible to get the DC5 listed correctly as it does not have a UK abi insurance grouping code meaning it often comes up as a DC2 or Uk civic....definitely need to find a specialist insurer to make sure it's covered correctly. I'd also be worried what a mainstream insurer would payout in the event if a total loss.

If you are based in the Republic of Ireland unfortunately we cannot offer cover for ROi at the moment.

Kind regards
Neil
