Issues with greenlight

So after a quick call to greenlight i found out they would not insure me .

I have had my DC5 for over 4 years, have 6 years NCB, but the insurance ran out 6 month ago with Adrian Flux, and because i have not been using the car and working away i have not re insured it and left it garaged.

I was trying to get insurance on a R32 GTR, but because i have not had the car for a year already and my policy ran out 6 month ago on the DC5 , they refused to insure me.

This does seem rather unfair i think?

harsh or not, they are following their guidelines.. 'previous 12 months insured on similar powered cars' but 6 months of your previous 12 months you have had nothing insured.. so you don't meet their requirements.

It will be their under-writers. With insurance its black n white. If they say 12 months..
Time to get ringing around, the joys of getting quotes!

We dont have any schemes for R32 GTR's thats why we dont market on the GTR forum.

We do have one underwriter that can look at the GTRs but they have strict criteria normally owning the GTR itself for 12 months.

Im sorry we are unable to help on the GTR but we are on this forum to quote for DC5's. As the GTR is something outside of our target market we are not always going to be able to offer a quote.

Yes mate we are a specialist in certain model cars that our underwriters want to target. BMW models dont work well for our underwriters so they dont want us to quote on them.
