Jazz Washer Jets

Don't know if I'm too keen on them. They don't sit tight against the bonnet, very easy to move around and when stationary they tend to spray right over the window.

Thinking I might go back to my original washers. Do others have this same issue? Don't exactly want to have wasted £22

I also find mine are loose as hell - always having to move them back to the correct position after washing the car.

I wonder if removing them and adding some insulation tape around them would help? May give it a try.

I don't have these myself so can only speculate, but isn't there a rubber grommet/gasket on the OEM washer jets that you have to move over on the Jazz washer jets, this should ensure a good tight fitment.

Correct there is a gasket 1-2mm thick. I'll try changing that over when I get home tonight. Never thought about transferring the original gasket to the Jazz washers.

You need to swap the gasket over, then they fit tight,

Next issue... Grab a flat head screw driver and adjust them up or down. Simple :) ive had no issues whatsoever with mine.

Just be mindful that now its a mist rather than direct spray if you like, they can make driving towards sunlight abit difficult if you were to use them in that instance. Haha blinds you for a couple of seconds.

Be patient with adjustment. It will take time to find the sweet spot for using around town and on the motorway etc at speed, too low and its useless on the motorway. It can be done though, mine are a perfect height for both.

That's a great help thanks. Will benefit myself and hopefully anyone else doing the washer jet swap. So just use the flat blade to move the nozzle itself which is situated in the recess?

If you didn't think to swap the seal over, I'd leave the DIY on the car to garages in future tbh :p

The only slit in which a small screw driver will fit....Lol. Sorry, yes the silver coloured bit in the recess is what you need to adjust up/down. Small movement makes a bit deference so check with a squirt every move. Oh...and sit in the car, otherwise leaning through the window will get you wet. Haha

Was under the assumption that if a genuine Honda part did not come with a seal then it did not need to be fitted. I had also never tried to take my seal off the old washers so wasn't sure if it was possible. A simple yet daft mistake.

Otherwise, I do all my own servicing, maintenance and fitting unless specialist tools and knowledge are required xthumbup

Figured that. Just double checking before I stick a driver in there and wind up breaking it. Oh the joys of wee fiddly jobs.

Old Bump I know, but was a relevant thread!

Has anyone tried the non-OEM jets from eBay etc that are about a fiver? Or are the Honda ones vastly better. It is only a small plastic part at the end of the day.

Just thought I‘d ask - cheers!

I bought jazz ones and found then mideocre. I then got some cheap Ebay ones and they perform much better.

I have a set of genuine jazz washer jets that I was keeping for my fd2, turns out they come standard with fan type jets!

If anyone's interested I'd sell them cheap
