KPRO and swapping in an OEM ECU

Hi

If I explain my situation, it should illustrate my question.

I have a KPRO which was I had added to the ECU which came with my DC5. The DC5 is a 2002 pre facelift it also has an aftermarket Cobra CAT1 alarm/immobiliser.

I want to get an OEM ECU which I can swap for my KPRO ECU as I am returning the car to almost OEM state.

So if I get a pre facelift ECU from a different DC5 and put it in my pre facelift DC5 would they be any adverse effects? Or would it operate the same as my original ECU did before I got the KPRO.

I ask as I hear that if you use a different ECU, to the one that came with your car, then you get the green flashing key for the immobiliser. Though I am aware it was the facelifts that had the immobiliser, can this flashing green key issue affects the pre facelift ECU's in the situation described above? I am hoping someone who has experience of what I described above can advise please.

Also I have found a DC5 ECU to potentially purchase but can anyone advise if its a pre facelift one based on the code printed on the ECU...

It'll be exactly the same. There's no OEM immobiliser on a prefacelift, the Cat1 isn't linked directly so nothing will change in that way.

Can anybody advise if that ECU code '37820-PRC-013 2070-301686' above is for a pre facelift?

Just did some reading and apparently 37820-PRC-013 is the first ECU the DC5's came with and then there was a slight revision for 2003 DC5's which had the 37820-PRC-023 ECU.

May I ask if I get the spare ECU 37820-PRC-023 (mod later) and install it on my pre-facelift running 37820-PRC-013, would it work perfect?
