My door locking mechanism (As in the part that the key goes in) is broken and you can't lock/unlock with the key on the drivers side which is a massive pain in the ass. When speaking to my local Honda dealership they said that the part for this is now discontinued. So my question is, would it be the same part for the EP3 Civic Type R as I know these share a lot of parts so might see if they can get me one of those instead in the hope that they still do them for the EP3.
That and has anyone else also had this problem and been able to fix it without having to replace the whole locking mechanism?
