Having been lusting after getting a DC5 since i first saw one i had learnt to live with the fact that insurance would be ridiculous as being 21 isn't the best thing in the world as far as insurance companies go!

Yesterday i decided that i would get a quote just to stop me pining after one but it's only made it worse!

I said "can you quote for a change of car on the policy please to a 2002 2ltr ITR worth 17k". After a couple of minutes she came back with.............."there will be no change to your premium Sir!"

I made her check several times that it was a for a DC5 rather than a JDM DC2 and she confirmed the car was a DC5!!!!! She made a note on my policy stating that there shall be no increase in the premium :D :p :D :p :D :p

Now i have the dillema that i can actually consider getting one now and have got myself a drive next friday :D

did you tell them it was an import??

Chris :)
Yep, even rang them up again today to double check all the details and the read to me without being prompted "2002 Japanese Import Honda Integra Type-r, 2ltr, is that the one?" :D

I'm still in a state of shock  :D

I just called em and they wouldn't even quote, even though im 24 with 6yrs NCD and no points, and live in a med/low risk area!

Nice one :)

I think its because i'm an existing policy holder doing a swap rather than taking out a new policy?

Ah well, im 25 in about 4 weeks so will slump for paying a silly premium till then, then cancel and re-insure for £690 FC :)

It'll work out that i'll be paying £1280 for the DC5 which for my age is very good :D

So thats on top of your current policy with a car?

How longs left on your policy, might not be that cheap?
Thats doing a car swap, i payed £1280 for the CTR and it won't cost me anything to swap to a DC5
