Good results mate, the mugen ecu ain't too bad is it! Hopefully i'll be getting around the same power as you when i eventually find a Gruppe M and 2nd hand exhaust system!

yip mugen brain is some peice of kit if your not after cams. ive beaten few civics with dastek uni-chip's, dont really rate them to be honest. i had a kpro in my old ep3 and to be honest i didnt like it (personal opinion). mugen brain just seems to give the car good torque. was told if i had a kpro i might see results of 250+hp, but for the extra money for the few possible extra horsies its not worth it. was thinking of buying a toda exhaust, anybody rate them? you could buy my j's gaz lol must post few pics up.

Yeah i know what you mean, you'd definatly get more peak hp with the Kpro but its not all about that. I felt that the mugen is better lower down than the kpro and torque does feel better. The only thing i don't like about the Mugen is that it feels very "on or off" so its not very good in traffic, do you get the same feeling from yours?

Whats the J's exhaust like? Could be interested especialy if its not too loud. I've been offered an exhaust from Niki on here but i've been waiting a week for him to get back to me

j's sound like stock only bit louder, sounds normal inside, dont know what its like outside but it does the job lol had a buddyclub exhaust before with a dc mani on my ep3 and it woulda made your ears bleed!

lol, i mean like if your in traffic it can be very jerky so you have to drop the clutch sometimes, like the kangaroo type of affect.

Indeed, only other engine related mods are SFS induction hose and spoon socks.
Had similar mods on a CTR with good results, plus I like the OEM backbox.
I do plan on Kpro, RBC, and mapping if/when I can afford it :(

No mate, sold the car before getting cams etc

the last printout I physically had was around 258/259bhp, I was owed a run by a local place and that's the figures they came back with

a couple of bhp can be discounted by the different rollers, temperature, humidity etc, but I'm still gonna quote them!! :D

The best way to describe it is that it feels more muscular all the way through the rev band. It just loves to pull... :twisted:

Just a snippet of relevant information for all interested parties,,,,,

We have Dyno tested our Buddyclub air induction system back to back against many different makes, and always come out on top, But until now, NEVER directly on the same BC engine within 10 minutes ,on the same dyno, against a GroupeM.... It produced approx. 4 ft/lb more torque all the way up the scale (straight swap holding it on by hand in a 70mph wind tunnel :xlol: ) without changing any fuel settings ,and if we had the time to map out the air flow ratio change it would have deffinately produced more power also at top end where it dropped off slightly due to A/F ratio being too rich. , bhp improvement would be expected to be a similar 3-4bhp. It was after 5pm and Dyno owner wanted his tea.... :D

But as far as we are concerned this test is definitive proof of our product quality and Torque improvements over the 'Now' next best air filter system, Our Modern developments are reinforced by our time attack success.

Thanks to every Buddyclub customer past and present, as without your cars to play with, we could not achieve such levels of development in the real world.
