Got to agree with the positive comments about Andy and 200BHP cars....this bloke is an absolute grafter...my 1st experience with the guy was him needing a DC5 exhaust to get a customers car through its esva test...I had my exhaust in my shed at home but because I work late nights ,couldn`t get it to him `til almost midnight..this was sorted and he then proceeded to go back to his workshop and fit the part just so he could get the `Teg through its test, finishing well after 2am and then having to travel a fair way to the test station....real dedication and the best customer service in my opinion...I may be after an FD2 in the future and would not hesitate to use Andys services :xyes: xthumbup

I would just like to point out I did not turn Wayn down, I was looking at decent cars at a realistic price. You offered him a bargin price for a top car so he decided to go with you. The only prob was you couldn't deliver what you promised.
How come you left the car sitting in the docs without clearing customs for so long?

I would just like to point out Wayn is a top bloke, 100% genuine and honest. Just such a shame life just keeps sh#ting on him in a big way. All the best mate, keep working hard and I am sure all that good karma will pay you back one day.

Cheers Duncan (FastJapCars.com)

Hi Duncs,

No offense taken or intended to you or Wayne, its just what i was told but im not getting in to a discussion about this again. I shall let the comments stay as they are and wish everyone all the best...

P.s - thanks to all who vouched for me and our business, things are tough at the moment in the import marketplace and its great to get some positive comments coming back to us from previous customers and acquaintances alike... ;)

The Truth is never really welcome on here when it comes to this company, keep your bad reviews away!

Eh? Dont understand this post :xconfused:

me neither, ive an idea what hes getting at, but cant seem to work out where it comes from?

criticsim (*sp*) on any company on here has never been removed, just discussed...... Andy has a good reputation on here, thats not to say he's had no issues over the years, though i could count them on one hand and still haev fingers spare. From what i know each one has been fairly resolved and he has been true to his word.

I'll still never forgive him for importing Tegs though and making them more and more commonplace!! Once upon a time we were a pretty small exclusive group!!

Think he's being ironic guys. Implying that bad reviews on 200bhp aren't given a fair go on the site.

I will say that Andy was very good when importing my DC5 and when there was a clutch problem he fixed it under warranty.

My only criticism is that he was and still is very difficult to get hold of.

I can understand some people frustration looking from the outside in thinking 200bhp criticism is never allowed to sit. There is a good reason for that though, iv actively supported and helped this forum grow over the past 5 yrs and tried to offer a genuine service for a fair price and most of the older forum members realize that everynow and again a negative comment will of course come up. It's a forum, a collection of opinions and facts I accept that and accept any negative press. I also accept the individual choice for people on here to post back and support the criticism or support 200bhp, this is the Beauty of a open forum the truth with always prevail.. You have to work double hard to keep a good reputation as a trader on a online forum, it's not easy and your reputation can be damaged or destroyed in a day. Again thanks for all your continued support, we've just launched our revamped site (appologies ant for not continuing with the site, the funding fell thru - thanks for your efforts though mate). Check it out at www.200bhpcars.com. Fundamentally our business approach is not the same as it was in 2007, we won't be importing cars en mass (and haven't for a while) as stock as we used to, instead we will more be focusing on offering our personal import service as well as local services such as MOT, Servicing, Diagnostics, paintwork etc.... We also have a E-shop in the process of being constructed for mods and oem replacement parts......

Cheers,

Andy

Your first post is on a thread that is 4 years old?? Why? Andy has a good reputation on here and imports only on client request now.

lol, who are you? please feel free to PM me, but the comment below is :xshot: in all honesty.

Also i can trade under any which name i see fit, Iv allways been www.200bhpcars.com but this name doest suit my business anymore hence why iv migrated to using bhp-imports now - which iv allways used. My reputation as 200bhpcars was outstanding, and still is as BHP imports. if you have any issues id suggest you contact me direct before inciting some random slander. Id be very intrested to know which car you represent.

kinest Regards

I'd like to add to this feedback for Andy as 200BHP Cars.

Years ago now my other half imported a 96 spec DC2 with Andy and in brief the car was pretty rough even though it was a cheaper import, it was delayed and half valeted when we collected it (we were given the money to go put the fuel in ourselves & the band expander to fit ourselves) All in all not the best experience when it's your new pride & joy you've waited months and months for....

BUT

After seeing other importers over the years and what they offer as prep and service, fees etc. I feel that the biggest problem when we got our teg from Andy was he wanted to give so much and offer the best service and do everything for his customers but just didn't have the time / manpower to get it all done for his customers. He seems to then and still now offer the full package of prep for his customers.

If I was looking for an import given he imports on request now I'd definitely look him up.

Hope this post makes sense LOL 😄😄 :D

That's a nice post emma, I remember your car well. It's one of the reasons when I came back to importing I wanted to offer the personal import service only, I want to be able to give my full time and attention to each customer so they feel special - over the years Iv strived to hit that ideal on every car without fail but there have been occasions when Iv been swamped that some small things fall through the net.

The key of course if not in the prep like the larger importers will live by, but in buying the right car in the first place.

Grade 4-4.5 is best if you want genuine quality and a high standard.

Iv learnt not to bend my standards now to people's budgets as it just doesn't suit what I want to offer.

Thanks again emma for the feedback ️
