Hi

I hope by the end of Nov to have a DC5, all being well

I am planing to use the car to do track days in. To start off with I will have to learn a lot

Just wondering whether it would be worth my while, considering up grading the oil sump, as so to help with the Oil Surge issue, as on track you have higher cornering forces

Any thoughts :?: I already know its a pain to fit, as either the engine has to lifted or the Sub frame removed, has anyone got any experience of this :?:

Cheers

Mike,

I think if you plan to use the car quite a lot on track... and you plan to use slicks in the future (cut or otherwise) that a baffled sump would be a very good idea... as we all know the tegs do tend to use oil so anything that can minimise the sloshing of what oil is left in the sump would be good....

Yes its a pain to fit and its not cheap but then how much does a rebuild or new engine cost... better to prevent I say...
