Question For Greenlight

Hey,

I'm new to the forum, and I'm hopefully about to become a DC5 owner.

After years of lusting over one, I have finally saved the cash to get a decent example, but I am struggling for insurance.

Due to my job, I am offered a duty vehicle which I drive around. And the last no claims I was awarded was about 3 years ago. I have insured a Clio for about 6 months last year but then sold it. I've never had an accidents or any convictions and held a licence for over 6 years, age 26.

But as I'm currently deployed I can't make phone calls, so was wondering, if Greenlight or a similar company could help me out with getting a rough estimate?

Thanks kind regards.

Jason

You need to contact them directly mate, each insurer is slightly different.

As a rule of thumb though, any NCD proof has to be within 2 years or its not acceptable.

Cheers mate, getting online quotes is impossible due to the fact DC5 is not listed on any of them. So it keeps going to underwriters, unable to make calls is making it hard to get an evaluation lol.

If your NCB is 3yrs old it would of expired by now NCB only last for a maximum of 2yrs NCB.

Where we specialise in modified vehicles and due to the high insurance rating of the DC5 we require that all drivers have owned the DC5 or comparable performance car for the last 12 months.

Your best bet would be to use one of the direct insurers like Admiral or Sainsbury's for your first year then come to us once you have the 1yrs NCB/Ownership, then we can cater for any modifications you decide.

Kind Regards
Neil
