Ive used them a few times as im local, generally on my dc2. put it in for a check, it was over heating and i was in a hurry to get it checked before i went on hols. Obvoiusly when i asked them to check it i thought it might have been the thermostate or fan switch.
The result was they never realy checked it saw there was water missing n said it must be my head gasket or something and to do a head gasket it would be 600 - 800 to fix and they didnt know if that would definately solve the problem.
i then asked if they checked the thermostate and he said its not a comon fault and very rairly go!! :?
I then went away in the car as my dad is a mechanic but was on hol.
Waited a week n a half for pops to get hme and bought a thermostate which we fitted and ran like a dream!!
The guy ended up refunding my money for the check after several phone calls and him never taking the call or phoning me back!!
Well that was a bit of a saga!!!
Im reluctant about putting it in there even for a service and was looking for a reliable place.
Just though i would share that!!
