Removing the ECU

Im going to have to remove my ecu to as im getting a kpro,i know where it is but just want any advice on removing it.

is it a simple plug out or is there more to it?

should i do anything before i plug it out? will it matter if its out of the car for a week?

stupid questions i know :roll:

took mine out sunday, 3 bolts and remove the 3 connectors by holding in the tab and I used a flat screw driver just to help ease them out as they are very tight. 10 minute job. Pressed the alarm and she locked up as per normal, jobs a good un :xcheers:

i know man, i find it hard to part with a grand in the current climate

vtec6000 will be doing it

Id disconnect the battery aswel before removing it, just to be exta safe so you dont short circuit anything and blow a fuse

thats what annoys me about this site, same guy will slate a guy for throwing up a thread without using the "search" button but can still spam other lads threads.
