Rocker Cover Gasket

Has anyone used the above rocker cover gasket with any issues?

It‘s full OEM quality and Is supposedly made by the same people who make the Genuine Honda one.

I‘ll happily buy the Genuine one if it‘s far superior, but if this one is exactly the same just without the Honda logo on it, then it seems silly to pay triple the price for the same product.

Thanks

Where's the proof it's full OEM quality? Unless I knew someone who had bought one I wouldn't bother. Buy cheap, buy twice.

Yeah that‘s what I‘m thinking. Unless there‘s any reviews of anyone using one, then I shall get a Honda one.

I‘m sure these are prone to leaking so I would use a small bead of sealant all the way around too

For things like this, nothing beats genuine. Tegiwa keeps a lot of genuine parts on the shelf if your local dealer doesn‘t

Hopefully this gasket set is ok for you guys

Had one on on mine for 3 years probably no different to genuine Honda it‘s only a rubber gasket at the end of the day I‘ve had no issue there is an area on the rocker cover that need sealer to be applied with the gasket tho it‘s in the manual where it should be applied

Well I never did that....what sealer do you use? Might need to try again.

Hondabond, and I believe you apply a bit in each corner of the rocker cover.

You got a link to the workshop manual?

Or could you email the whole PDF over to me?

Sorry mate I downloaded it years ago so no link and just looked and only gives me the option to send it via air drop which I believe you‘ve got to be close to my phone to do I‘m not too good with technology I‘m afraid
I think I just googled rsx workshop manual and somehow found it through that

There is link on the forum somewhere. I got it not so long back. It's a pretty big file to send.

I usually use https://wetransfer.com/ for sending files that are too big for email. If you tap the 3 dotted icon it will give you a link instead of email address to send to. xthumbup

Here it is. Think the link only lasts about 3-7 days though...

It says its Acura RSX, but I'm sure it's pretty much bang on for the JDM DC5

45MB by the way, and i've used it multiple times for servicing and ordering parts, Kudos to 'Dynomite 2009' for the original upload xthumbup

Well I'm running this gasket fine, with the sealant in as pictured. Didn't use Honda seal, they can stick £36 up there behind.
