Service and MOT in Bristol

I've noticed there are quite a few people on this forum from Bristol, just wondering where you all go for service and MOT?

My car is approaching 50k so will need a major service in the next couple of months and MOT is due now. Anyone know a rough price for a full service from Honda or local garage?

Also, my tegs been modified quite a bit from the previous owners. It has a full Toda exhaust system which I understand from reading various posts on this forum is a de-cat. I've got both parts of the original manifold+cat in a box in the garage but does this mean I will have to swap both sections for it to pass the MOT then swap them both back again afterwards?

Cheers for any help and advise.

Hi

As a fellow cider guzzler i can highly recommend Shepton Mallet Honda ( if you want to go to Honda) for a good and reasonably priced service as i took my civic there 6 months ago. It was the 37.5K mile service and cost around £120 as i supplied oil. Just toying with the idea of using one of the more specialist places recommended on this forum for my DC5 though as not sure if Honda can show it the TLC required?? As for the rest i cant really help mate

I used to take mine to Steels Hereford - 120 mile round trip but worth it imho.

I'd agree with James's recommendation of Performance Autoworks - first class service in my experience. They're about 40 miles from Bristol but again well worth the trip 8)

Nice, I was actually going to post this question myself.

Thanks for the recommendations!
