shells response to 99ron at tesco

i emailed shell last week after the news about tesco's 99ron fuel was posted on here, just got a respons from them this morning...........

Dear Mr Hendy,

Thank you for your email concerning high octane fuels.
Shell UK are always looking to improve the quality of its fuels and also meet customers needs and satisfaction. At this moment in time we are not looking to increase the octane to 100 RON. I have forwarded your comments to the relevant management, and they will consider the proposal of a 100 RON fuel.

i think if enough people ask something may be done.....

almost like a petition but not quite, there must be thousands of people who would use 100ron petrol if it was available.

what if every member from every uk based car forum sent an email to shell asking about 100ron fuel....... would they do something then?

I think it also depends on the price. 100ron probably not cheap in this country. Although every member can email them, but at the end of the day, they may withdraw it because not many people can afford to use it daily.

dont get me wrong im happy enough with optimax, but i think if 100ron was available and the price wasnt extortionate then id probably use it.

but as you say, a lot depends on the price!

but if tescos are managing 99ron, then surely shell and other companies would want to compete with this?
