Short trips + revs + oil temperature

I wanted to get some adive. I'll be getting the DC5 soon and will be using it to travel to and from work which is about 10/15 minutes away. I'm guessing this is not enough time for the oil to heat sufficiently for me to rev the car too high. Is this true? or shouldn't I worry about this.

mines a full Greddy turbo conversion and due to this i have 3 greddy dials, one for boost, one for water temp and the third for oil. it takes at least 10 mins of steady driving to get to around 80 degrees as indicated by the dials. However the Vtec ysytem is very intelligent. It wont let you hit the VTEC until the engine is warm enough. This is also true if there is a problem with the engine. When i had my Accord R a oil pipe ruptured and i didn't realise until the ECU light came on and i couldn't hit the VTEC range. Clever or what! (different engine though but im sure its the same principle)

Hope this helps.

Like Truffs says, the engine is intelligent and won't let you thrash it 'til it's ready.

Was the same in my S2k
