Any advice welcomeOk , usual questions ...

To all the owners on this website where did you go to , how much and how long did you have to wait. I know Litchfield’s import the DC5 ...anyone used these guys?

I currently own a CTR and am wanting somthing more , I could spend £5k on it and put in a Mugen LSD , CIA, Zorst , Springs ect... but would rather just buy a better package to start with.

Im happy with the CTR ‘s performance but want the rest of the Type-R package that Honda UK saw fit to leave out on the uk EP3. Add to that HUK make the JDM EP3 With the Spec that I want on the same production line is insane

Any advice welcome

Mat,

I'd have to agree that just tricking up your CTR willnot necessarily make it a better car... people i have spoken to say that for some reason even though the DC5 shares a lot of parts it is just more stable and planted...

I bought my car from Litchfileds as did a few others on this board.... paid around the 17k mark for it... it was a grade 5 auction and only had 2500 miles on the clock.. dont think it had even seen above 50mph till i got it ha ha....

Iain at Litchfield is a good guy and seems to be the main mass importer at the moment of DC5's and his prices are good.. downside is you have to wait 2-3 months to get the car after its bought, shipped, SVA'd etc and Iain isnt the most organised of guys as he's a tad busy always :?

Upside is he usually has some cars on a boat so you may be lucky to get one quicker and not wait the time that me and a few others did as we were the first ones to get them...

Hope that helps

Mat,

I own an EP3 too but am looking to import a JDM version as to get our CTR to the same performance, LSD, interior etc. would cost a few £K's. Can anyone help in my quest for an import JDM CTR? (Even though they are assembled in Swindon :? )

Len-boy,

I enquired about importing an EP3 back (coz i wanted a white one 8) ) but was told its just as expensive or sometimes more expensive than buying a DC5 and importing it...

Hi Len

Yea I Know the JDM EP3 thing is a knightmare , its made here yet we would have to import one back into the UK !!!!!!

I could look at £3k to spend on it to make my CTR V nice but just cannot decide what to do.

:?

Same problem here mate! I love my CTR and there are a few mods that I want but to get any real gain (almost 20bhp the JDM has over our spec) you will need to spend a good couple of £k!

I've decided that I would rather go for the JDM and have an instsnt 215bhp and then go from there. Also, championship white \:D/

Hi

Found that this importer has an EP3 for sale for £14.5K, heres the web site link:

http://www.karma-import.com/catalogue.p ... 4&view=yes

Also, found this car on the Jap Auction site:

Great car, however the its an accident repair car, but looks good and would only cost about £9k on the road here after its been imported 8) (for some reason, Japs dont like repaired cars, but if its done prop then I can't see why not !!) 8)

ohh that looks like a Buddy club body kit to me... nice as it is... Unnamed Warrior had issues in that it will only use a Buddy Club exhaust and u cant change it back to a normal exhaust.. or so thats what the problem is with the DC5 kit..

Jevo

p.s. looks fantastic in white though doesnt it !!!
