I have a issue with revs Basically when I rev the car the idle stick a few times and the comes down to it‘s position. I‘ve tried cleaning the IACV but no luck! Been told the throttle body sensor needs adjusting. Any solutions? Thanks

Nice long drive might fix it then. Once covid passes obviously.

When I removed the throttle body the gasket wasn‘t in good shape. Some of the gasket around the throttle body was peeled off. U recon that can cause the issue ?

If gasket was bad, could be causing a vacuum leak and sucking in more air than it should, hence revs are sticking..... its like the throttle body being open slightly more and getting more air. Change the gasket and see how you get on, cheapest option isnt it lol

Took it for a good blast and it seems like it‘s got worse.

Clutch was dipped and foot was off the gas
And revs keep jumping in and down.

Will a thermal gasket make any difference in getting one. I heard it stops heat soak.

No harm in trying for what they cost, I dont think itll make that much of a diffrence though itll be negligible.

Thermal gaskets are reusable so they are worth it just for that reason, make sure you scrape off the old gasket carefully and clean all the surfaces before fitting

They do apparently work but you won‘t be able to notice any difference
