How much do you guys pay for having tyres fitted. I got my tyres from mytyres.com, but have had what seem like silly quotes for fitting and balancing. Eg: ATS £24.99 fitting + £24.99 balancing. F1 autocentres were over 50 quid.

I've paid between 6 and 10 to get them fitted and balanced, they were at local tyre fitters not chains.

Thanks guys. Looks like I may have to try the "backdoor" route!
Think I'd rather pay to have them fitted

Definately a few phonecalls 'round the local fitters, put one price against the other, you'll soon get a good rate.

Cheapest isn't always best though.

Sometimes it's best to pay slightly more to the Kwik Fits etc

Example:Tyres fitted and balanced, drive out the fitters, the weights fly off.

Feels like tracking is out or something, goes back in and all work done including tracking F.O.C. 8)

You won't get that at a cheapie.

Well it cost me 42 quid in the end, which is the cheapest I could find in my area. Works out at £75 per tyre fully fitted (Toyo T1R 205/45/R16)
