I would really like the vtec sound as I think its the best part of the vtec engine.
Take a video of your next test and we'll be able to tell you if the vtec is engaging if you are so unsure.

The crossover on the DC5 isn't raring obvious but it is noticeable if engaged correctly.

You have to wait until 1 minute for what the Integra should sound like.

I've already prepared myself for a less impressive crossover than my EF8.
That thing was pretty savage on vtec. There was a vent / flap on drivers side, which let in fresh air.... And about 110db of vtec.

The DC5 is a more mature, refined evolution.

Mine has a straight through exhaust with only a back box (unknown brand) and a decat. It's also got a hks mushroom filter. The crossover to vtec is extremely noticeable. Normal driving it's actually fairly quiet. Put my foot down and get to 6k and it's an entirely different car!! Sounds epic, and incredibly addictive!

If you like the crossover, get a gruppe M intake or a cheaper tegiwa M copy, and keep the exhaust system standard. They are quiet untill the change over then they sing :)

Here is mine both inside:

I do really miss the VTEC sound that I had with my EP3. Just don't fancy spending a tonne of money on Tegiwa M just for the sound or an open cone and lose torque :(

I supposed you get what you pay for really. But I think to have the distinctive vtec sound screaming is great. Is sound great for a little 4 pot motor.
