What Oil?

Could anyone tell me please what is the best oil to put in, preferably the maufacturers choice. Ive always used Mobile 1 0W40 on previous cars, but im not sure if this may be too thin for the vtec engine.

As for the service the Honda dealer has it on a 12k CTR schedule but I still change the oil myself every 4k inbetween, any oil manufactuer will tell you it degrades after that! (but they would wouldnt they)

If you look HERE you'll see there are differing opinions.

My dealer usually puts in Shell Helix Ultra H/Spec but as it costs £45 + VAT,I'm going to supply my own in future.
Not sure myself yet whether to change brand or not.
