Guys,

Need some advice. I would like to slap on some 'fat' tyres on a 17x8jj wheels. If I go with a 245/40 /17 tyres, would I have any issues i.e. rubbing, etc?

Sorry no pics yet,

OEM wheels, Toyo R888 215/45
Mugen Sport suspension, camber adjusted to -1° rear

J's Racing 10mm Spacer at the rear. Works fine, no rubbing (tested).

Also tried 15mm at the rear and it seems to work (and looks very good!) but haven't tested it without the suspension tower yet.

15mm at the front is a no-no. 10mm might work.

When you guys say "no rubbing", you do test the setup by lowering the wheel inside the arch without the coil & spring installed, right (rear only obviously)?
Update:

OEM wheels
Toyo R888
Mugen SS
camber: -1° rear & front
J's Racing 10mm spacer front, 15mm rear. Works fine, looks great, no rubbing (tested).

Not too sure what has led you to that conclusion but an ET45 to ET50 should fit without any issues.

I'm working on getting some Enkei Nt03s fitted, they are 17x8 ET35, which I know casues issues, but i'm getting the rear arches rolled so I should get them on OK with no rubbing and no crazy camber. I'll keep this thread uptodate.
