Which Exhaust?

I've got my DC5 on the way and already thinking of changing the exhaust.

Anybody recommend a make, or personal experiences?

I don't want to go for something too loud such as the Spoon N1 that tuners have mentioned, and wake up must of the town in the morning! :D

We've nearly all got different ones so can't really tell you one way or another which to choose.

Depends on how much you want to spend too.

I went for the quieter option of a Mugen Twin Loop(results can be found in this section & my sig)

The Mugen was the first bit of pipework I changed on the car and I have to say,the exhaust note hardly changed.Maybe a little throatier when pushing on.
Sounds great now I've done the Spoon 4:2 & 2:1 mani & de-cat and the Mugen has kept the volume down for trackdays :D
(though the marshalls at Castle Combe recorded a high fig for it :? )

Sorry, I havent got any sound clips

What have you got against that track Si? Just because you took the wrong turn...

Back to topic, I agree with Simon there are too many options and not enough comparisons. His Mugen is more of a stealth option and the Spoon is a bit of a CherryBomb but you pays yer money...

The ORIGINAL tin-can-on-a-pipe exhaust. Around in the early 80s, it was VERY loud indeed - and they were universal so every boy-racer (except me) had one on their Mini/Escort/Allegro to compliment the Mag Wheels (which I DID have) and MirrorFlake paintjobs (Yes again)   Feeling very old now

just put on a Mongoose (exhaust), they still believe in
the 'cherry bomb' technology, after about 30 miles your
ears would be bleeding !!!, i know, zero back pressure may
help the turbo spin but , jeez
