Glad to see various people enjoying their coilover kits. It is hard to explain how the spring rate can be high on the rear yet the coilovers still be compliant down bumpy B Roads.
To try my best to explain it in a way that‘s understandable. The motion ratio on the rear of a DC5 or EP3 is 0.562...
It feels loose because they‘re a coilovers targeted for road use and that alone really and not really targeted towards performance but more allowing lowering adjustment whilst maintaining comfort.
You‘ve probably seen many people mention our YellowSpeed Track Version in various other posts...
220 BHP EP3. If you'll allow inferior cars on the list.

Straight arms create bump steer, common misconception is the steering arms want to be straight when they don't.
If they're straight you end up with more bump steer than lowering 30-40mm without a rack raiser.
We used to think straight arm was the way forward 3-4 years ago until we did a bump...
Also, we've had a fair few customers with Teins that have found them way to bouncy no matter what damper setting, the Spring rates are to stiff for road use and you'll find yourself disappointed driving it down B roads as they're not confidence inspiring at all. Have a Google and you'll find...
EDFC is something you'll use for the first week and never touch again, Dampers have a critical point at which they work best with a certain Spring rate.
Common misconception being to soften the car a lot for day to day driving and stiffen up for track use, however you'll find softening the...
They won't make any difference to lap times or even feel, trust me. We're on a grid (Civic Cup) where 2 tenths of a second regularly seperate the top 4/5, we've developed many parts specifically to find time (That we also now sell), in heavy impacts everything rotates around the subframe, it...
They're only purpose is to stop the subframe being refitted in a different location, there's no other benefit.
We use the Tegiwa ones on the race cars and the subframes are off all the time for diff rebuilds etc, and we've never had to replace one.
We've fitted Bilstein B4s to a few DC5s usually with Eibach Sportlines, as mentioned EP3 track rod ends (which is actually a good thing as they're half the price) and then a few shims in the rear and they're on, not anything to be concerned about. The ride is miles better than OEM even with a...
