update: The car will not rev past the vtec engagement point and there is no cel on. After driving for a bit the cel comes on and I can rev past the vtec engagement point but no vtec.

ya speedo is working fine.

it was driving perfect before I took the ecu out and I wasn't at the engine while the ecu was unplugged

how do I fix that

I had my kpro and battery disconnected for a few days (why is irrelevant). I put the kpro back in, connected the battery. Now the car won't rev past vtec engagement point in any gear. Any ideas?
