12v lighter?

Need some help.. I'm confused why my 12v lighter socket just stopped working...

I have checked the fuse box under the steering wheel, it's the location 8 20a one. Pulled that out and it seems fine, I even replaced it with a brand new one thinking it might be something I couldn't see, again still no power?

I have even checked all the fuse in the engine bay, every fuse seemed fine.

Can anyone shed some light on this please?

Is it possible the device your plugging in is fused and has gone? Presume you've tried multiple chargers etc?

Multi meter or test light in socket, gives you a definitive answer in seconds.

As Coyote said, the charger may be fused. Quite often the tip unscrews and theres a glass fuse inside.

Pull the cover off and check it's plugged in.

Yes, as Mark says, the connector may have come adrift!

Thanks all for the response, turns out the socket itself was faulty as I took out the one from my EP3 and it worked, so I got a new one instead now.
