Im looking to purchase a new set of wheels shortly, and before I do just want to check if anyone has had any problems running that 17x9 instead of the usual 17x8.

Also any notice in steering response & handling changes, and any pro's and con's to using that size. Also tyre with being 225 rubbing etc.

Thanks in advance

9's with 225 give more clearence if anything as they are stretched.

The wheels are bigger so they are heavier and you get all the downsides associated with that.

Response is fine but a little slower

Fit fine no issues though ;)

Hope that helps

Would there really be that much noticeable difference between 8 and 9j? Whats the handling like on stretch tyres, would they ideally need 235's?

Yeah I think a 235 would be a more ideal fit for the 9J but then you may run into rubbing issues (depending on ride height / camber settings)

My car handles really well so no complaints from me using the above setup
