Hi Lewis,

Best to call a few insurance specialist companies like adrian flux, admiral or sky insurance for some quotes.

Good luck :)

Alot of those companies arnt interested in drivers under 24, try bell.co.uk they were cheaper than everyone by MILES when i was 22 with only 2 years ncb.

Got bored and rather than Phone I just did an online quote and they quoted me 2335 with the car parked over night in the garage and 1731 with the car parked on the street, crazy how it works but I'm happy with the price !

If your doing insurance for a UKDM car then just use the web but for DC5 not calling is silly make sure all the details are correct also they often get it as a DC2 UKDM also :)

tbh, i would get a small personal loan to pay off your insurance the interest rate is ALOT less than whatever stupid tax, vat, interest, scam they hit you with when you take a direct debit.

They rang me today and said they would knock 23% off if I insured me mams car and all and a further 10% because id be payin it off in one lump, I'm well pleased he told me to call back when I'm in a position to insure so it's all good!

Admiral are better than all these so called specialists that don't seem interested at all and tar all younger drivers with the same brush!

I'm paying £1300 for insurance @ 21 in Northern Ireland.

Mine will be coming to just under £1300 With Brentacre @ 21 with 3 years NCB, all mods declared and fully comp, £500 total excess.

It will depend on your car history as a major factor to the cost too!

Wow, now that's a brilliant price for a JRSC DC5!

I'm surprised no one has suggested Greenlight, I'm 22 and have my first ever DC5 and i paid just over £900. (Based near Leicester, 4 year protected no claims, Fully comp, £450 excess and current/future 'mods' declared)

They're down to earth guys, easy to deal with and they don't charge extra for future modifications (excluding turbo and SC) but you must declare them as you go.

FYI - It's mostly cheaper for insurance when parking the car on the drive or on the street because insurers don't have to cover the property damage when they break into your garage! (Crazy!!!)
