3" exhaust for Charger

Hi all needing some input..

All going well should have my very own JRSC installed by the end of the month.

My cars booked into Tdi-north also

Need to decide which 3" system to go for over my current 2.5" custom & smaller backbox to get the most out of the charger.

I have a couple of options on mind..

1.Currently swaying towards the K tuned 3" catback.

As it boasts good ground clearance and do like the look of it.

2. tdi-north 3" system, would probably be the best for gains and tdi-north say clearance is good as long as not slammed lol

Downside though the backbox/tip is just a slash plain tip.

3. Last option is a local exhaust specialist near me could make me up a 2.5"-3" backbox to match the 2.5" b-pipe they done me and can do any style I want including a kakimoto regu06 style rolled tip.

Decisions, decisions lol

What would your choices be ?

K-Tuned - Just to be different

Either TDi or Ktuned,

Ktuned sounds amazing on a turboK but never heard it on a SC one

TDi one is probably better on a SC setup imo

Yeah I do like the fact being different also as don't think anyone here's running the K Tuned

I've heard the odd clip off instagram of the K tuned but think it was on turbo'd Rsx.

I know one dc5 owner with a K-Tuned exhaust hes doesn't come online that often though.

off the shelf you have the skunk 2 mega rr aswell

custom with two silencers will be best to live with every day noise wise..

theres been a few on ebay and there's one now off a lotus

all 3in are gonna be loud, but with boost going through it it should sound good..

i know someone running the buddyclub pro spec 2 he said its 2.75 not 3in..

Nice one the JRSC.
Think noise levels should be a consideration too, as the TDi is meant to do a static noise test at 89dB, the K-Tuned one was said by K-Tuned themselves not to be quiet, and we all know the Skunk2 one isn't.

I personally think any 3" with a single silencer will be too loud. So with that in mind a custom exhaust with would be best

Yeah a few came up on eBay but sadly the one I bid on and won was a scam luckily got my money back though.


Yeah I was considering that there's no stated numbers on the K Tuned.

Would I get refused up @knockhill if it's over 105db Grant ?

I don't mind a loud exhaust loved my spoon n1/spoon b pipe with toda decat

Personally I've never seen anyone get noise tested at knockhill. Problem is if you want to go else where.
