Mine's the same as Chris above.
Indeed your motoring is carbon neutral. You should get a prize!Suped said:Good thing is my teg does not polute the environment based on what DVLA has stated above! lol
Well...... You could buy the DIN from a scrapped DC5, replace the one on yours after declaring it scrapped on the V5 and then reregistering it with the new DIN as PLG.gizzmo200 said:Ok ok,stop rubbing it in guys,is there anything i can do about it :?: :?:
TypeGRRR said:TBH the £300 is a mystery to me... But look on your V5 (logbook), under section 4 it should state the vehicles CO2 (g/km). If it's 223 it's band F and if it's 234 it's band G.gizzmo200 said:How to i check what band im in(CO2 rating)??also how come im paying 300 pounds n not 200 odd nor 400 odd,are there three different bands????
neil_integra said:There is a way to get it changed from the 234 CO2 band to the 223 CO2 band as I have done it myself. I believe I am the only person to have actually done it. It took about 3 months and numerous letters to and from DVLA and Honda.
But it can be done.
The short version is you have to have a car with the newer ECU fitted.
Get Local Honda to tell their head office at slough that it is fitted with the newer ECU and they will send you a lettter confirming this.
You send that letter and your V5 to DVLA along with the 2 Model Reports that are available for the DC5 with the higher and lower readings on, and a covering letter and they will change it to the lower as long as your car has the newer ECU fitted.
