ABP Motorsport laser aligned the car today and got it spot on!!

Can't thank the guys there enough, they are all top blokes and have alot
of knowledge and an aweome setup - 100% recommended

But Surely System R should have sorted this when I paid £120 for exactly
the same as I got today for £120? Plus the rest I've spent!!!

Get yourself back down to them mate, demand a refund. They took your money and never put right what was put right by ABP, so there screw up, you are entitled to your cash back mate.

Good to hear it's sorted. I'd take the ABP receipt and print out to Paul at System R, or fax them to him, explaining that you're unhappy that he didn't solve the problem and that you'd like your money back. Paul's a top bloke, and I don't see a reason why he shouldn't do that for you.

So ABP actually solved the problem??

wonder what happened at System R then..

I had my DC2 and DC5 done at ABP, great guys. Im gona ring them about the NSX actually and gravity place as my firnd had his S2K done there and now its a different car, can drift so easily and dosent snap.

sounds like what i need

It seems ABP did solve the problem, car still pulls ever so slightly right
but that seems to be the uneven tyre wear on the O/S.

Just spoke to Paul at System R and he believes ABP could be masking
the problem so he's going to check the alignment again!

I'll let you know how this all ends, but its good too know everybody cares
and wants to get this issue sorted!!

Dan I'd use either System R or ABP, System R has a new version of ABPs
equipment so could be good for you!!

Also Dan have you ever thought of visiting these guys.... http://www.plansmotorsport.com/
They work on the site of the Top Gear test track and specialise in RWD.
Oh and 'The Stig' runs the company.......apparently!

Hell yambo your going round in cicrles.

Im interested to see what SystemR find. ABP have always been very good with me..hmmm.

Heard of plans yes, bit faw away so looking at closer alternatives first. NOTE- i checked my pressures last night in the X (first time out in it for 3 weeks) and one rear was 37psi and the other 47psi! fock no wonder she was a bit slidy

Funny thing is at the ring i checked them every second lap and never repumpoed them when back home so how ones gone up ill never know.

ho hum

Yambo,

Glad you have almost solved the issue ;)

Who would you recommend? ABP or System-R as I'm about to get a fast road setup done myself.

Okay Paul has checked the laser alignment printout and said it seems fine - YES ITS FINALLY SORTED!! :D

So at least its all sorted, now to get it lowered on some Eibachs with Camber adjusters

Tron2K3 I'd use System R for the Fast Road Setup and ABP for alignment etc

System R knows the Teg inside out and knows his toe in/out angles whereas
ABP are a bit sketchy on the DC5 but have great alignment and if you know
the angles you want then go there.

Whats going on with those tyres Dan! Have you tried inflating your tyres
with Nitrogen? They may have got hot on your way home from the ring
and pressure increased! This used to happen to me when I raced Karts,
you'd put in a real low pressure and you'd end up finishing the race with
about 20 Psi more!! Crazy

yambo u cant say to systemR put my rear camber arms on and front bolts but dont align it up- im going down road to ABP for that

I think both are fine. ABP did my Geometry on the DC5 with rears and front bolts etc and was great.

as for my tires god knows

Hmmm stuck where to go now, I know ABP where very good at setting the EP3's up and Paul is very knowledgeable at the majority of things to do with the Type-R's.

:-k

Hey Dan I can do as I please, after all its my money LOL :D  Be funny if I did that though!!

To be fair both are really good garages.

ABP will probably get you in quicker and are quality but System R knows
his tegs and is £2.50 cheaper :D

ABP will give you a print out though as they have laser alignment equipment.
I think ABP have set my alignment to standard and not Fast Road whereas
System R or TGM know fast road settings i.e Toe out front, Toe in rear.
Standard is zero toe front, toe out rear!

I'm confused now aswell :?

I might take a trip to TGM, then at least all the top garages have looked at it!! 8)
