Hello peeps.

why oh why won't A plan quote me any less than £2175?
1 yr NCB
27yrs
driving for 10 years
garage
good postcode

Is it because I am a girl?! Sweet Jesus.

I had a Fiat Coupe VT+ before and the insurance group was 20 but never went higher than 1200 and your quotes even for 0 NCB are lower than mine.
What is the world coming to?

very strange!!

some people on here are younger with 1year ncb......try asking for a good reason and use some of our quotes from other threads to back up your argument!

one of the lads is 27 like you and with mods is only paying £1200 and thats with 0 no claims bonus :shock:

I phoned up A plan three times just to check but I might just do it again and quote from you lot.
Lifesure quoted me 1993...best so far..

Maybe your postcode isn't so good after all - it only takes a wayward village or town to have an impact sometimes - where are you?

My details are the same as yours except:

A) I'm male
B) I have 0 NCB

I pay £1260 with mods

I got quoted this time last year with my ex and it was £700 quid odd.

Been back on the blower to A plan and they told me my postcode was average :|
I live in sunny Southsea.

The reason A Plan said my quote was high was because my previous car was not an Evo or Scooby!
My last car was a Fiat Coupe VT+ and I was told it was a group 20.
The woman I spoke to tried to explain that apparently our UK insurance groups only go from 1-12 and that imports go from 12-20, so my coupe was actually only a group 12. I thought this was bollox, but what do I know :xconfused:

absolute bollox, my uk spec mitsi was a group 20
ctr grp 17, and im sure my 200sx and dc2 were higher than a group 12!!

someones just being finicky.......

Yeah I thought that woman from A Plan was a bit lost it - she was constantly giving me this endless stream of nonsense as to why my insurance was to be more than 2k. And I kept refering to you guys' quotes and she really didn't know what to say so kept repeating herself.

Phoned up Bell, Norwich Union & Egg and they said 'We don't
do that type of car!'
:D Hooray finally got a decent quote £1690 from Fresh Insurance who were more than fantastically helpful and I'd recommend to everyone.
