ABS Fault

Got a little problem with my ABS.
The ABS relay goes nuts when I'm going over speed bumps, and randomly, even without my foot on the brake, then after a while the system switches off and displays the yellow ABS light.

Basically I'd like to know how I can interrogate the ABS unit to get the fault code using the plug in the centre console. Having read the manual, it says I need the PGM tester, but I'm pretty sure I can bridge some pins or something to get the ABS light to flash me the fault code. :?

Any help would be much appreciated.

If all else fails, then go to Tom @ TGM for advice on what to do. Most would recommend him for anything to do with engine and electrics.
